Bill Northend

Senior Pastor

Pastor Bill Northend grew up in San Jose deeply involved in the Episcopal Church’s youth group, Scouting and Drum and Bugle Corps. After High School he attended the University of the Pacific (UOP) in Stockton, studied in Edinburgh Scotland and worked summers in New Mexico, Florida and northern California. He graduated from UOP and began a career as a District Executive with the Boy Scouts of America. During his senior year in college he met and married his wife Mary who worked for the YMCA. They moved to Pleasanton California where they had two daughters (Danica and Kelsey) and became very active in the Presbyterian Church. After five years in professional Scouting Bill became a Financial Advisor/ Stockbroker with Morgan Stanley. In 1990 Bill and Mary moved their family to Brentwood California where they helped found a new Lutheran church. Here they became extremely involved in worship, music, small group ministry and all the things it takes to run a church. As their daughters headed to college Bill and Mary became aware of God’s call to them into full time ministry. So they sold their house and went to seminary in Saint Louis. After graduating from seminary in 2010 they were called into ministry in Southern Michigan and Sonoma CA. Now he and Mary are residents of a town they love and are committed to being in for a long time! Bill and Mary have a daughter in the Bay Area, another daughter and son in law with three grandchildren in Portland, OR. They have parents in Visalia and brothers and sisters around the Bay Area, Southern California and Australia.
